Gift card terms and conditions

J D Wetherspoon (‘Wetherspoon’) gift cards may be purchased and redeemed at any participating Wetherspoon pub in the United Kingdom. Participating pubs exclude franchised sites and hotels.

Conditions of use of the gift card
Use of your gift card will constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions supersede any conditions on your gift card, if they differ. You must, therefore, read them carefully.

Purchasing your gift card
The minimum amount required to activate a card is £5. The maximum amount which may be loaded onto a gift card is £500.

We do not collect or store your data, when purchasing or redeeming gift cards; therefore, if the card is lost or stolen, the balance cannot be returned to you.

Use of your gift card
When using your gift card, the cost of your purchase will be deducted from the balance on the card. The remaining balance may be applied to future purchases. Change will not be given.

Balances may be checked by presenting your gift card at the till in any participating Wetherspoon pub.

Gift cards are not for resale and cannot be exchanged for cash or credit or used to purchase another card.

Gift cards which are damaged, defaced, altered, cancelled, stolen or suspected of being fraudulently or illegally obtained will not be accepted by Wetherspoon.

The value on your card will expire 24 months from its purchase date. It is not possible, after purchase, to check a gift card’s expiry date, so please retain your receipt for your own records.

Wetherspoon accepts no liability for any lost, stolen or damaged gift cards.

Refund/returns policy
No refunds are available for the purchase of a gift card.

General
Wetherspoon reserves the right to amend or waive these terms and conditions or withdraw this scheme in the future. In such an event, cards already in existence will remain valid until their expiry date.

If, for any reason, any provision of these terms and conditions is determined to be void or unenforceable, then, to the extent and in the places only where such provision is determined to be void or unenforceable, it shall be severed – and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by English Law, and all matters in connection with them shall be determined by the Courts of England and Wales.
