Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Poretti (4.8% ABV) is an Italian premium full-flavoured lager, characterised by a pillowy white head, brilliant clarity and a polished golden colour.

Pub history
Westhoughton was the birthplace (in 1927) of the film star and author Robert Shaw. He is probably best known for his leading role in the highly successful film Jaws. The son of a local doctor, Shaw’s first major film was the Dambusters. Many others followed, including the hugely successful Jaws. His second novel, The Sun Doctor, won the Hawthornden Prize for Literature. A plaque commemorating his association with Westhoughton was put on the town hall in 1996.
