Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Pub history
The first public house on this site was The Spa Lane Vaults. The pub and Spa Lane were named after a nearby spring which was said to have curative powers. During the 1880s, the pub was renamed the Phoenix Inn and was rebuilt in 1924. At that time, its landlord was the champion boxer Billy Green, who remained in charge for 52 years until 1975. The old inn later closed, but reopened with its original name.
