1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Poretti (4.8% ABV) is an Italian premium full-flavoured lager, characterised by a pillowy white head, brilliant clarity and a polished golden colour.

Pub history
This early 16th-century timber-framed building was originally the courthouse of Battesford Manor. This was a small estate – part of Witham since the 13th or 14th century. The rear wings of the building were added in 1980, when the building was converted into the Batsford Court Hotel. From the early 1920s until the late 1970s, it was the premises of ‘Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers and Valuers’ Balch and Balch.
