Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Poretti on draught – new world beer
Poretti (4.8% ABV) is an Italian premium full-flavoured lager, characterised by a pillowy white head, brilliant clarity and a polished golden colour.

Pub history
Newcastle Civic Centre (opposite this pub) is a grade II listed building, officially opened by King Olav V of Norway in 1968. The central lawn in the Quadrangle is open to the public and contains a fine bronze sculpture by David Wynne of Swans in Flight. The Five Swans rising from the pool of water ‘reflect the city’s long-established links with Scandanavia’. The five countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Iceland) are each represented by a wild swan.
