Jaipur at Wetherspoon
Wetherspoon pubs will be stocking Jaipur from 9 April.
Jaipur is a flagship beer from Thornbridge brewery in Derbyshire, first brewed in 2005 and was the beer that put Thornbridge brewery on the map. Tasting notes for Jaipur are below.

1664 Bière on draught – new world beer
All Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and Ireland will be introducing a new premium draught lager. The beautifully crafted French premium lager, 1664 Bière (4.6% ABV), is being added to the company’s draught beer range.

Customers at more than 650 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK will be able to enjoy breakfast deals for £2.99 each or less.
Poretti on draught – new world beer
Poretti (4.8% ABV) is an Italian premium full-flavoured lager, characterised by a pillowy white head, brilliant clarity and a polished golden colour.

Pub history
This former post office closed in the 1990s. It had opened almost 100 years earlier, in 1899, replacing smaller premises which stood almost opposite. The post office had moved to Gloucester Road in 1874. It was previously in St Mary’s Street, where it was run by Joseph Evans. As well as his official duties, Evans made and sold baskets, sieves and clogs. The enterprising postmaster also ran boat trips for tourists along the River Wye.
